Turntables might be the one piece of equipment that most people instantly associate with DJ’s. Despite the rapid change to digital music formats that has taken place in recent years, there is a still a place in the DJ world for vinyl records, so having DJ turntables – and knowing how to use them – is a skill that DJ’s need to have. Before you consider your DJ equipment set complete, make sure you have a quality turntable that works nicely with the rest of your gear. If you are just getting started and need to purchase all of your equipment, Car Audio Closeout carries a full assortment of components including DJ headphones, microphones, PA speakers, and much more.

In addition to being able to play classic vinyl records as part of your DJ performances, there is another advantage to turntables that can be of great assistance – recording vinyl records into digital formats. If you are a DJ who has collected a great number of vinyl records through the years, you might want to convert them to MP3 files so you can keep them safe and have another method of accessing the music. This doesn’t mean that you have to get rid of the vinyl – it just provides another way to play the music when you don’t want to use the turntable, and gives you a backup in case anything happens to the physical copy of the record.

There is something about the texture and feel of music when played off of a vinyl record that is difficult to duplicate with any other medium. You probably don’t want to carry around hundreds of vinyl records to various DJ gigs, but having DJ turntables that you can take to certain events is a great element that can be added to your show. Even if you only have a few specific records that you have collected on vinyl, having turntables to play them on is worthwhile.

Thank you for visiting Car Audio Closeout, and feel free to shop around on our pages until you find exactly the DJ turntables and other gear that you need. We look forward to serving you!
